Girl Scout Leaders Complete Training Course
The Peninsula Girl Scout Council of Delaware and Maryland completed an intensive training course led by Elizabeth McHugh from the Washington D C office. Open House Highlights Telephone Work At Denton Exchange

Fire Destroys 1600 Bales of Straw on Farm
Fire destroyed about 1600 bales of straw Sunday morning on the Paul Ebling farm between Ridgely and Denton. Ridgely Greensboro and Denton fire companies answered the 4:45 a.m. alarm. Workers returning from Latex noticed the blaze. Volunteers saved the farm buildings and one barn that had caught fire but was not damaged. The cause was listed as spontaneous combustion.

Three Delawareans Hurt In Sudlersville Crash
Three Delaware youths were hospitalized after a Sunday 12:30 a m crash on Route 300 near Sudlersville. Donald Haber man Jr 19 of Dover drove the convertible at high speed, it left the highway rolled three times and ended in a field. Haber man was treated for a dislocated hip. passengers Robert Jones 18 of Leipsic and Robert Peterson 21 of Dover suffered head and body injuries. The car was a total loss. State police charged Haber man with reckless driving and set a January 13 hearing before Trial Magistrate J W Thompson Jr in Centreville.
