More than 108 Legion Caroline Post 29 and Auxiliary members attended the August 16 installation at the Post Home in Denton. Wilson Cohey and Lewis T. McNeal installed Legion officers led by Carroll George. auxiliary officers were led by Maha Allston. A chicken crab feast followed with thanks to the Denton Lions for the skillet and frying, described as the best ever.

Truck Auto Collision Near Andersontown Saturday
A tractor trailer from Bath New York failed to stop at Routes 404 and 313 near Andersontown causing a crash at 9 30 p m Saturday. William L Carroll and Nancy Jean Carroll plus William L Carroll Jr were hospitalized at Memorial Hospital Easton after the trailer tipped over due to suspected brake failure. Carrolls car eastbound on Route 404 suffered total loss while damage to the truck was about seven thousand dollars. Trp Meryl Morgan charged Marshall Hunt with speeding and failure to stop at a boulevard sign. The Carrolls were freed with heavy lifting by utility trucks after about 1 4 hours.

Canine Corps To Perform At Harrington Saturday
The Delaware State Police Canine Corps, nationally recognized, will appear at Harrington Fair Grounds on August 22 during the ninth Camp Barnes Stock Car Race. Dogs live with their handlers, are gentle off duty, but command-ready in work, having aided in strike duty, prowler calls, and prison unrest reenforcement in New Castle County.
