Rotary Clubs in 113 countries unite to promote international understanding and peace. Donald L. Chamberlin of Chevy Chase, governor of District 762, spoke to the Denton Rotary Club outlining grants of over 3 million dollars for student fellowships since 1947. He urged a community needs survey and strengthening ties with neighboring communities and urged attendance at forthcoming district and international conferences. The meeting included a Crab Feast at the American Legion Home next Tuesday evening.

More than 1,000 Maryland freshmen will visit the College Park campus in groups of 25 for a two day pre college program. Man Found Guilty Of Impersonating An Officer
In Denton Trial Magistrate Court Roger Cook of Greensboro was found guilty of impersonating a deputy sheriff of Delaware on a county road when he stopped a Gar ey car and claimed arrest authority. State Trooper Franklin Horseman arrested him. Cook is jailed 29 days or fined 25 dollars plus 3.50 costs. Ernest Lankford of Denton faced unemployment fraud charges. case continued. Judge Tilghman convicted a minor of illegal alcohol possession under the 1959 statute. Earl Franklin Jones was arrested on a probation violation warrant. originally convicted for obtaining money under false pretenses in the April term.
