County Loan Rules For Storage Structures Under Price Support
The County Agent explains the loan program for storage structures under price support. Loans may cover up to 85 percent of cost or 45 cents per bushel of capacity, at 4 percent interest, with a 5 year term. Fees include a service charge per bushel, minimum $2.50, plus insuring the structure when over $1000. The County Committee issues a certificate before loan closure and repayments go to the lending agency or County Committee depending on loan source. Applicants must provide collateral evidence that remaining debts are paid. Dairy cattle output figures for Maryland are given from 1948 and 1945 census.
