Martha Ann Ziegler of Denton Maryland spends two weeks at Camp Miniawacha in Selby Michigan. She earned the trip from Maryland 4 H clubs for consistent good club work. The other Maryland girl is Mary Jane Adkins of Salisbury. Delaware sent Betty Webb from Goldsboro though she lives just across the state line. The girls departed Maryland last Saturday.

Two historic camp meetings on Smith Island in Tangier Sound and near Laurel begin late this week. Smith Island sessions run a week from 7 45 P M with Rev. Gilbert E Turner leading services and a Maryland Legislative Council visit planned for August 14. Delmarva Camp opens for three weeks with Friday start, featuring Sunday school, evangelists, guest ministers, and visiting singers across most days.

Caroline Women Revive Short Course Club Reorganized at Denton
The Rural Women's Short Course Club of Caroline County was reorganized Tuesday in Denton after wartime suspension. Mrs. Paul Hoffman of Ridgely was named chairman and Miss Alberta Porter of Greensboro secretary and treasurer. Mary Wharton of Ridgely was named chairman of a club party for College Park next summer. Thirty three women are eligible to join, with one requirement being graduation from the short course after four years. It is suggested that associate membership be offered to women who attended the Maryland University short course for one year.
