Bankers and Farmers Meet in May Sessions in Maryland
A series of banker agricultural meetings will be held statewide in May under the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond University of Maryland and Maryland Bankers Association. The first gathering occurs May 1 at Caroline High School Denton with multiple county participants and officials from local banks. The program covers farming and banking practices with university and Fed Reserve economists and ends with an dinner in the Denton Armory.

Fluoride Demonstration At Denton Elementary School
A program demonstrating fluoride as partial prevention of dental decay will start at Denton Elementary School this week under Dr. Louis Welty. Funded by the U S Public Health Service and directed by Dr. Richard Leonard, it is conducted with cooperation from W S Fitzgerald and endorsed by the Maryland State Dental Association.

Caroline County Nursing Committee Holds Preston Meeting

Daylight Saving Time shifts set for Denton County events
The Denton area announces the time change on Sunday April 29 moving clocks forward to daylight saving time. Schools will operate 8 to 3 30 daylight time. Musical events across Caroline County include festival participation on April 21 and May 20 with glee clubs from Denton Federalsburg Greensboro Preston and Ridgely. Draft Board hours extend to 4 30 p m starting April 30 1951.

Sergeant Johnson Wounded in Korea Released from Hospital
Set. 1/C Paul N. Johnson, 24, who was wounded in the arm while serving in Korea, has been released from the hospital. His parents, Mr and Mrs Franklin Johnson of Burrsville area, were notified. Johnson enlisted last August and spent three days in a hospital after the injury. the letter was received two weeks ago.
