A three hour Good Friday devotional at First Methodist Church Denton begins at noon with Rev John E French assisted by Norris Meredith Wesley Junior College Dover Delaware Soloists Anita Rue Benjamin F Johnson and James M Clarke organist Mrs Gilbert Rue The service has seven 25 minute parts with musical interludes allowing come and go The theme From Gethsemane to Calvary includes the Betrayal and Arrest of Jesus Pilate’s Verdict Denial of Peter Judas Remorse and the Crucifixion Everyone is invited to attend.

Col Mowbray discharged from the U S Marine Corps at Bainbridge Naval Base and returned to his parents near Denton on April 8. He served from December 1943, trained at Paris Island Camp Lejeune and Combat Intelligence School, then fought in the Pacific with the First Marine Division, earning the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with two stars, Presidential Unit with one star, Navy Unit with one star and the Victory Ribbon.

Shults detailing duties and objectives. A round table followed with farmer questions. John Cotton from University of Maryland Extension Conserva tion showed two movies, Permanent Agriculture by the U S Soil Conservation Service and Blasting Ditches by DuPont in the first district.
