Mrs Holmes is the former Mary Cash, former local vocational home economics instructor. Mr and Mrs George Burrell of Noblesville are parents of daughter Brenda Ann born November 9 at Noblesville. Mrs Burrell is the former Olive Ann Carr.

The Interdenominational Thanksgiving service will be at 9 a m on Thanksgiving morning at the Presbyterian Church. Delphi Woman Josephine Wells Dies After Prolonged Illness

Mrs. Josephine Wells 75 prominent Delphi resident died Wednesday night at St. Elizabeth hospital Lafayette after a week-long hospitalization. Born August 11 1881 in Green County Ohio she taught school before marrying Yanus Wells in 1906. She served in many community roles including church district secretary and Panama Exposition delegate. Funeral held at Jackson funeral home with burial in Masonic cemetery.

Crop Drive Scheduled Next Week in Carroll

The CROP campaign plans a three day drive next Monday to Wednesday with a $5,000 goal. Grain dealers livestock dairy seedsmen and township chairmen will staff the effort with volunteers and hosts. Benefit Ball Game by Delphi Lions Club

The Delphi Lions Club sponsors a benefit basketball game on Tuesday evening November 27 at 8 p m between Hazel Walker's Arkansas Travelers all girl team and Lions members. Tickets cost 75 cents for adults and 50 cents for students and are sold at the door or from Lions members.

Bill Roth 67 Dies in Florida Home

William W. Roth a former Roth Park proprietor and developer died Thursday in Punta Gorda Florida after a year of ill health. A Kansas native he moved to this county early in the century and ran Roth Park then sold it to Mahlon Kerlin and Steven Young. A Democrat he served four years as state senator and was appointed to the State Conservation Commission in 1936. He had been a carpenter and contractor in Monticello and worked as a Mississippi river levee contractor. He married Zelma Rayher in 1910 and was a Mason Scottish Rite Eastern Star and Redmen member. Surviving are his widow a daughter Mrs Homer Harwood two brothers Iva and Orville four sisters Mabel Van Pelt Esther Reynolds Josephine Carr and Beulah Armstrong. Burial followed Monday in Riverview Cemetery in Monticello.

Delphi Debaters Place 2nd in Speech Meet at New Haven

Delphi finished second among 16 schools at the Peru Debate Meet held last Saturday. Sara Johnson, Joe Clawson, Sue Ann Lieber, Virginia Fisher, and Virginia and Steve Peterson will lead Delphi at a tri state tournament in Hammond with teams from Illinois Indiana and Michigan. Two Hurt In Bringhurst Auto Crash On State Route 22

Ralph Lamberson aged 45 of route 1 Bringhurst and Larry Ridenour aged 18 of route 1 Bringhurst were injured in a two car collision Friday evening on State Highway 22 east of Burlington. Lamberson suffered dental loss and severe cuts while Ridenour sustained a broken pelvis and was admitted to St Joseph Hospital Ko komo. State Trooper Jim Harris said both vehicles were traveling west and Lamberson swung back onto the highway after stopping at a mailbox.

Rockfield Couple Hurt in Saturday Night Two-Car Crash

A Rockfield couple, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stigers, were hospitalized after a two-car collision on Main and Robinson Saturday night. They were transported to St. Elizabeth hospital in Lafayette by Eikenberry ambulance. Mr. Stigers lost teeth and sustained lacerations while Mrs. Stigers had a broken leg and internal injuries. The other driver, William E. Pearce, 22, of Jonesville, Michigan, escaped injury as both cars were demolished.
