State Police Enforce Delphi Auto Parking Law At Band Concert
State police officers checked parking compliance in Delphi Thursday evening to enforce the new auto parking law. In Monticello the night before stickers were placed on about 100 cars and Boy Scouts handed out notices urging motorists to park right and keep tail lights burning. No arrests occurred as local police and merchants worked with officers to urge observance and avoid fines.

Richard Leffler Dies at I O O F Home Delphi
Richard Leffler born November 15 1850 in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania moved to Tippecanoe County about 1880. He joined Pittsburg Lodge No 53 I O O F February 26 1889 and Carroll Lodge No 174 at Delphi July 1892. He entered the I O O F Home Greensburg about five years ago and died Thursday morning June 11. Survived by second wife and children from first marriage. Interment at the I O O F Home.

Coroner verdict in Johnson death reported
Herman McCord of Ockley was injured and a companion was killed when the car he drove wrecked Tuesday evening. Miss Lulu Margaret Johnston 20 of Lafayette was killed instantly. Miss Nellie Barton of Lafayette sustained a badly injured back. Johnston and Barton were riding on the front seat. Johnston’s neck broke when thrown from the outside. Barton suffered back injuries and a mashed foot. Johnston was a Bell Telephone operator in Lafayette, employed about a year.

Dr. W. E. B. Sharrer and daughter Ella were summoned to Hammond after the sudden death of Joy Hart, husband of Katherine Sharer Hart, granddaughter of the doctor. Coroner rules Lula Johnson death an accidental car crash
The coroner’s verdict states Lula Margaret Johnson died from a fractured neck in an automobile accident. She rode in a car owned and driven by Herman McCord of Ockley Indiana, which hit a washout and overturned in a ditch about 13 miles west of Ockley. She was trapped beneath the vehicle with multiple fractures and facial injuries. Herbert Y. Mullin, Coroner.
