Two Struck By Car In Delphi Injuries Reported
Zelda Hardesty 17 and Earl Gipson of West Delphi were seriously injured Saturday night when struck by Kenneth Dimmitt’s car while walking home from a Delphi dance along State Road 39. Hardesty suffered a fractured right leg and facial lacerations. Gipson a fractured pelvis. They were taken to Home Hospital in Lafayette in fair condition, with Hardesty listed as serious.

Fred Voorhees Home Destroyed By Fire
Fire completely destroyed the Fred Voorhees farm home southeast of Flora on Saturday night. The estimated loss was 6000 dollars due to an overheated furnace. The family escaped as the first floor collapsed. Four Flora firemen fought the blaze, which was beyond control upon arrival. Insurance covered part of the house and furnishings.
