The State of Indiana has filed a Carroll circuit court action against Clinton Boyd charging forgery. It is alleged Boyd passed a fraudulent $150 check to Mann Chevrolet Company of Fort Wayne.

The Junto Club of Delphi held its annual Christmas party at the Walker home with Abner Bowen as president. The event featured carols, gifts, and prayers for his recovery, followed by the town learning Bowen had passed away the next day, making the gathering a tribute to a longtime friend and leader.

Mrs. Gayle Crowell of Adams is hospitalized at Memorial in Monticello after an accident Friday evening while returning from Lafayette. Her car left the road near Hickory Grove church and rolled three times. she was admitted Saturday.
Levi Paul Anderson 64, once under publisher of the Brownsboro Record and later a Citizen employee, died at his Lake Freeman home after years of illness. Born January 17, 1893 in Lisbon Ohio, he worked in Ohio journalism before buying the Brownsboro Record in 1996 and running it until 1984. He was active in the Tollatc apelis Press club Brownshire Lions Club and Christian Church. Surviving are his widow Thelia Anderson a son Robert W Anderson of Ashland a daughter Mrs Robert Stoffel of East Liverpool a stepson Robert F Gleaner of Indianapolis. Funeral services were held at Jackson Funeral Home and Lisbon burial followed.
James Clem, a 1951 Delphi high school graduate, serves in the Secret Service guarding President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Since October he has accompanied Ike on trips to Paris, Oklahoma City, Georgia, and a British Embassy party. Clem excelled in exams and marksmanship and starred in football at school.
James Dickinson son of L. D. Dickinson of route 4 Delphi joins the Carroll County Farm Bureau Insurance Agency in Delphi. He succeeds FR Robertson who resigned to manage the Warren Henton Agency at Fowler. Dickinson, a Delphi High School graduate, studied at Purdue, served as a jet pilot in Korea, and has lived in Flora with his wife Ellen and daughters Debra and Lisa.
Abner H. Bowen fifty nine prominent Delphi resident dies Friday night at Home Hospital after a heart attack. He served as president of the Delphi State Bank and was active in social and political circles. Survived by widow Willa and three daughters, a son and siblings. funeral at Delphi Presbyterian Church with burial in Masonic Cemetery.

Don Bowman owner and manager announced expansion plans for Green Acres Soil Service this week. New equipment will enable bagging fertilizer with a 90 by 60 foot building a 40 foot elevator and bagger plus a 3 ton mixer bag piler and automatic conveyor.

Funeral rites were held in Lebanon on Friday for Mrs. Hubert Clifford daughter of the late P Beadle former publisher of The Citizen. She is survived by her mother Mrs Cecelia Beadle of Lebanon and two brothers Parker Jr of Lebanon and Paul of Indianapolis.

The Delphi Lions Club announces sponsorship of the Dale Carnegie leadership course. A demonstration meeting is set at the Delphi library on Monday evening at 6 40. The class runs 14 weeks with a 45 student cap and welcomes lovers, employees, and high school students.
The plaintiff Flora sues in Caprall for 1000 damages claiming he bought 208 hoes from Wisder on Feb 16 1097 and that 144 hogs died three weeks later of disease. Hanna and Hanna represent Flora.
Boyd Garrett, 28, of Flora, was arrested Saturday night by Plera police on charges of public intoxication. He was arraigned Sunday in JP Ntone's court and fined 8.00 plus costs totaling 21.00.
