Arrangements are made for a re dedication program at French Post Park beside the Wabash River in Rock Creek township. Troop 58 of Rockfield Boy Scouts helped restore the park with the communities of Rockfield and Lockport. The Sunday afternoon and evening service features a ceremony, Boy Scout Court of Honor, a basket lunch, and a reunion with music and speeches. Camden American Legion Post will donate a new set of Colors to the Rockfield Scouts. Rev E E Coleman is Scout chairman at Rockfield.
Deputy Sheriff John Miller aids a Lafayette youth who spotted an object drifting on the Springboro bridge. After fishing, he retrieves a supermarket style cash register submerged for days and begins tracing ownership as the press deadline nears.
Mrs. C L Carey wife of Carroll County Sheriff has taken a grade school teaching position in Forrest. She previously taught in Burlington schools.
Mr and Mrs Carl Million who were seriously injured in a Florida auto crash returned to their Rockfield area home Saturday. The couple traveled by train for the return trip preserving privacy and comfort.
Jack Little, at 113 East Main Street, announces the grand opening of Jack Little's Cards and Stationery Friday and Saturday this week. The remodeled store offers a full line of stationery, paper art, Hallmark gift wrap, free gifts, door prizes, and special opening prices with Mae Foster as manager and Mrs Little assisting.
Farmers may sign 1958 Acreage Reserve agreements for winter wheat from August 26 to October 4 1957. Applicants must establish a farm soil bank base using 1956 57 crop history and provide complete production records. The Soil Bank has two sections Acreage Reserve and Conservation Reserve with a $3000 cap on Acreage Reserve payments per farmer.

A 1957 automobile owned by James S. McClean was stolen from a garage annex to the McClean residence north of Delphi at 5 20 Friday morning. Deputy John Miller found an abandoned car a quarter mile north at the McClean home. The vehicle had been stolen in LaCrosse Indiana on Thursday.
Delegates from 37 congregations of the Church of the Brethren in Middle Indiana met in Flora for their annual District Conference. About 400 people attended as meetings ran from Thursday to Saturday with all services open to the public except the elders and moderators gathering led by Rev. Leonard Custer of the West Eel River church.
Mr and Mrs Robert Julius and family of Flora are spending the week at Bear Lake Michigan enjoying a family vacation by the lake.
The City Dump will be poisoned for rodent control on Wednesday August 21 by order of The City Board of Health.

Leo Lewis also known as Lewis Metzger, sought since June 1956 on failure to provide charges and later cashing fraudulent checks, was arrested Thursday night in South Bend and returned to face charges.
Charles Elliott of Delphi has joined the Air Force and departed for Lackland AFB Texas to begin basic training. A Delphi high school graduate he attended Purdue last year and is son of Mr and Mrs Ray Elliott.
