The Delphi Tri Kappas held a card party and spring fashion show at the armory. Seventy-five card tables filled the room as twenty-one prizes were awarded including a ham and many chickens and cakes. Models showcased outfits supervised by Seybold's Department Store with Appys Band providing music.
County treasurer Robert Johnson reports tax receipts averaging 1000 to 1500 dollars daily as the tax period nears its May 7 deadline one day before the primary. Restricted checks used for tax payments should be redeemed promptly to avoid delinquencies.

Stars from last year include Gee Wise Boone and Garnett Smith. Other meets listed: April 14 Sheridan and Frankfort at Frankfort. April 28 Delphi Invitational. May 5 RMD at Delphi. May 12 Sectional. May 19 State.

A new establishment combining a beauty shop and a ready-to-wear store will open soon adjacent to the Delphi Journal office. Miss Ethel Hargraves and Miss Ada Smith will operate the businesses, with a late next week opening anticipated. The building is under renovation.

County clerk Wilbur Lane urges Carroll county residents to register by April 9, the last day to register for the primary, change precincts, or transfer registration. Voters may respond by postcard or phone, and precinct committeemen checked eligibility on Monday and Tuesday nights.
Two hearings before the State Industrial Board for Workman's Compensation were held Monday in the court room. Cases Hinton vs. Smith and Sherman Misner vs. Board of Commissioners were heard. Misner was injured September 8, 1932, while grabbing stumps for the county. Dr. Evans indicated compensation would be allowed only for an operation and resulting disability. William B. Smith county attorney represented the commissioners. Julien and Kerlin were attorneys for the plaintiff.
County Treasurer Robert Johnson reports Carroll County’s first quarter gas tax distribution totaling 21,491.14 dollars. The funds support local government operations and infrastructure planning.

He has been county manager for Senators Watson and Robinson and supports Fredrick Landis.
County relief officials announce a new emergency relief program replacing the CWA. It will employ 100 to 150 county residents, mainly relief rolls, paying no less than 30 cents an hour for up to 24 hours weekly. Local directors and a county relief commission will oversee plans and approve township relief, with dairy cattle purchases funded to aid work.
John Cartwright a Delphi graduate sold Will Rogers a new Ford V-8 after Rogers agreed to trade his wrecked old car. The signed Rogers letter, now at R. G. Bradshaw Motor Sales, shows storage charges and towing costs totaling 26.50. Rogers authorizes transfer of the wrecked Plymouth to Cartwright’s firm.
