Inquest Set for Tuesday in Fransois Lawler Death
Coroner Dr. R Culver and a coroner s jury will continue the probe into the death of Frans ois P Lawler Tuesday afternoon at 4 o clock. Police and the state's Attorney s Office pursue where Lawler was from Monday night until noon Tuesday when he appeared at Blondie s on State street in a bloodied condition. Witnesses including Lawler s father Frank Lawler and Francis Duff describe a Monday night with Lawler drinking, while Blondie s proprietor reports placing cotton in Lawler s right ear. The cause remains undetermined with possible fall injuries rather than a blow to the head.

Summer Trip Through Great Lakes Planned by Geography Dept
Prof William Gould head of the Geography Department at State Teachers College plans a four week summer bus trip through the Great Lakes region for 25 to 50 participants. The itinerary covers nine states and two Canadian provinces from Milwaukee to Detroit with stops in Green Bay Duluth Toronto and Montreal and returns via Niagara Falls and Lake Erie towns. The educative tour runs July 29 to August 18 with Mrs Gould as chaperone and Bart Cors as business manager.

Somonauk Man Succumbs To Auto Injuries
Somonauk resident Charles Mooring, struck by a car driven by Chicago travelers while crossing Route 18 near the post office, died at his home after a week of severe injuries. An inquest was to be held that evening as responders had provided medical aid and the visitors had returned to Somonauk.

Arrests For Violating Vehicle Laws By State Patrol
State Patrol officers O N Larson and J L Elmendorf spent the war period patrolling Kane and De Kalb counties. A majority of arrests this week involved drivers failing to stop before entering a state highway. Rail Agent W. E. Allen Dies After 47 Years with R R
W E Allen of Fulton age 72 and longtime Chicago and North Western rail service died at 2 45 pm at 730 North Seventh street after two years of ill health confined to bed ten months. He joined the railroad in 189 and served as station agent in Amiret Aurora and Fulton for a total of 47 years. Born December 19 1857 in Fulton he married Nona M Grover on September 21 1881 and left a wife two sons Fay and Rodney four grandchildren and a brother Isaac B Allen. three sisters preceded him. Funeral Tuesday at 10 30 am from the home with Rev J Spencer burial in Fulton.

Alcohol used by autoists in radiators during freezing weather led to a tramp's arrest yesterday. He, naming himself Frank Miller, carried a bottle labeled poison and was jailed to sober up. Washington May 26 The Supreme Court unanimous ruling in Farrar v Boston states that purchasing liquor for personal use during Prohibition is not a crime under the Volstead Act. Justice Sutherland notes Congress did not extend penalties to liquor buyers and cites no such liability in the eighteenth amendment. The Norris case was not ruled on the merits due to a plea.
