Mrs. Howard Mother of Ralph Howard Dies in Rock Falls

Tragedy in Sycamore: Mrs Hammerschmidt Ends Life at Home
Mrs A E Hammerschmidt wife of the First National bank vice president of Sycamore died after inhaling artificial gas in the kitchen of their 589 West State Street home. Neighbors saw her in the yard earlier, and doctors and DeKalb fire department tried to revive her but she died around 1 30 pm.
