The East and West ball team of the local American Steel and Wire company will leave tomorrow to play the Rockdale works of the Joliet plant. The North and South works team recently visited Joliet and was defeated. The East and West squad has improved and is expected to perform strongly.
The Normal baseball nine travel to Aurora for their final game of the year. Aurora is regarded as one of the strongest teams this season with a solid local squad. Normal will start pitch for Normal and use the same lineup as the rest of the season.
The Americas Steel base ball team from Chicago will play here tomorrow afternoon against the local South Works team. The game starts at three o clock and is expected to be hard fought. North and South Works lost their last game at Waukegan last week and seek a better outcome.
In spring and fall each year the local express company gets new wagons and equipment for six months. The local office received four wagons yesterday now in use. The wagons will be serviced at the repair station where they will be required and other offices will receive these.
Dr J Stanley Grown, president of the Rochelle normal school, will deliver the commencement address at Rochelle high school's graduating exercises on June 17. Twenty candidates are named in the class of 1920.
The Hungarian delegation signed the peace treaty at Paris today with the allies. Ambassador Wallace signed the treaty for the United States.

A fast paced baseball clash at Normal Field last night pitted DeKalb Normal against the local high school team. Garver hit a tough ball and a fielder misplayed it, producing a close call at first base. The umpire ruled in favor of Normal as the ninth inning closed with two on and two out. Final score 4 to 3, Normal over the high school.
President Wilson appoints a wage commission to arbitrate differences between anthracite coal miners and operators. Members include William O. Thompson Neal J. Perry and Wilam L Connell. The commission must decide within 60 days and any raise would be retroactive to April 1 1920.
Fishermen and villagers prepare for a major fishing day with children getting bait and poles ready. Many workers finish at noon to join the outing at nearby rivers and lakes for a half day of fishing tomorrow.

United Press reports the Republican national committee opened hearings by seating eight Mississippi delegates led by M J Marvihall amid disputes over regular versus contesting factions backing General Wood and Governor Lowden. The panel also seated four at large South Carolina regulars led by Joseph W Colbert while contesting delegates backed by J S Collins aligned with Wood.
D. K. Kissimer formerly of Miners University team signs as second baseman for the local club and will play Sunday against the Hawthornes. He starred for the Varaity team for three years and excelled in puck and fielding.
