A large graduation week closes with a Junior Senior procession and a banquet at the Armory. The schedule includes a lofted commencement at 8 p m Thursday, an all alumni dance Friday, and a Lutheran church service with Rev Fairlund delivering the address.

United Press reports in Washington that the Senate sent the budget bill to adjourn at four o'clock with most major measures cleared including the army reorganization bill and the 297000 man army plan. The Hallish resolution to publish profits in tax returns was advanced.
Last night marked the Armory’s final public event after 15 years as the people of DeKath gathered for a band concert and dance. The Miller trio delighted the crowd led by Miss Cleo Miller, while Zeigner Swanson’s band delivered a standout performance and received bouquets for their effort.

DeKalb friends mourn Mar Tirien of Earlville who died in a Chicago hospital after gallstone surgery. Born October 6 1896 in Victor Township she taught in DeKalb county and was a Somonauk High School graduate. Survived by brothers Michael M O'Brien Maple Park sisters Mrs John Nolan Juneton City Mrs Dennis F O'Brien Earlville Mrs Joseph Myers Sheridanville and Mrs William Allen Woodstock Mrs Joseph LaBelle DeKalb Mrs Junes Duffy Waterman and Miss Ella O'Brien Bathville.

Admiral Albert G. Winterhalter, a former commander in chief of the Asiatic Fleet, died early today at the naval hospital from pneumonia. He had been detached from the Asiatic Fleet and served in duty until his death. Winterhalter, a prominent naval officer, was born in Detroit.
