Richfield Springs N Y December 4 Delina Filkins 113 oldest New York resident and aunt of J N Filkins of West Lincoln highway died at her son Frank Pilkins home in Richfield Springs N Y She was born May 4 1815 in Stark Herkimer County and married John Filkins at 19 She lived on Stark farm 89 years before moving to Jordanville and then to Richfield Springs last summer She survived by one son three grandchildren six great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She recalled Erie Canal digging and other early regional scenes.

Firefighters contained the blaze within an hour damaging the building about 18 000 with most loss to stock.
