David Rasor, superintendent of the Children's home, was arrested on a serious charge of rape. Laura Stork, a 16 year old inmate, alleges assaults dating from December 1904 and on many occasions after. Rasor waived examination and was bound over to common pleas court for 800 dollars. Two younger inmates corroborate similar assaults.

John Sohn of Noble township died Saturday after a Thursday accident when a wagon loaded with household goods rolled over him on the J A Asbacher farm. Survived by his wife and seven children, funeral held at Brunersburg church with Rev Kiess. He was 47. Burial Brunersburg cemetery. Parents, a brother and sister live in Germany. Death of Mrs Jos Veith Sr in Defiance
Mrs. Joseph Veith senior died at her Holgate avenue home at 2 o clock Wednesday November 15 following over a year of illness and three months bedridden. Born in Baden Germany 57 years ago she came to America in 1883 and settled in Defiance. Surviving are husband Joseph Veith Jr Adolph and Harmon all of Defiance. She actively served St Johns Catholic church and was in the Ladies Aid Society Christian Mothers and Catholic Ladies of Ohio. Funeral was held Friday at 9 am at St Johns Church Rev Gloden officiating with interment Riverside cemetery.
