A reader in Coulee City writes from October 29 detailing inland empire agriculture. He notes wheat and stock farming dominate, volunteer wheat yields of 20 to 25 bushels per acre, diverse grains and fruits, deep soil, scarce water except along the river, and a large ranch work schedule. He mentions Ez-I near Grand Coulee, a spring, and plans to fence 100 acres while awaiting spring seeding. He will winter stock care for pay and hopes to plant barley next year.

The Board of Health met in regular session with Evans Eberle Gorman and Duerk present. An outhouse on lot 20 Phelps addition was declared a nuisance and ordered abated by November 10 1901. The sanitary policeman reported 27 vaults cleaned last month five connected to sewers and three new ones built.
