The thirty-fourth annual Northwestern Ohio Volunteer Firemen's Association meeting drew about 20,000 people from 60 towns to Van Wert on June 19. A parade was canceled due to heavy rain. Napoleon will host the next convention, and officers were re-elected.

Thomas S. McCartney and James McCartney sue Henry Jennings as administrator of John McCarty s estate to recover 354 64 from a partition sale of Arthur McCartney lands. Sheriff Eiser received the funds before 1901. the money was later transferred to John McCarty who died in 1904 without delivering it. The defendants claim as sole heirs of Arthur McCartney to the unpaid proceeds. Winn and Hay are the attorneys.

Toledo Battery Plans Camp at Defiance With 51 Men
Officers of the Second Battery O N G announce a camp in Defiance from August 5 to 10. The unit will parade with Spanish War Veterans on August 6 and will conduct mounted drill and revolver target practice. The battery seeks 18 to 35 year olds, especially machinists, and plans rail transport with a special train to Defiance, needing up to 51 riders and gear within state support.

National Guard to Attend McKinley Mausoleum Dedication
Governor Harris is requested to order the entire National Guard to Canton for the September dedication of the McKinley mausoleum. A McKinley Memorial committee will present the plan which could mobilize about 5000 guardsmen. The projected payroll is 30060 with 15000 transportation and 5000 subsistence, totaling 50000.
