Secret May 8 Marriage Tied To Indiana University Pair
The Indianapolis Morning Star reports the secret marriage of Miss Clara Fleece and Samuel Buskirk Olds, both connected to Indianapolis. They wed in the city May 8 by Rev. W D Wheeler and kept it quiet from friends. The couple met as Indiana University students in Bloomington. The story recalls Walter Smith’s February suit in Justice Smock’s court over a diamond ring and gifts. Fleece offered to return them, but Smith refused. Justice Smock ruled Smith not entitled to recover.
