Albert Hall wed Emma Swartsbeck on August 26 by Rev Stuckman in a sizable local gathering. A heavy Sunday rain aimed to close cracks in the earth, though some pastures remained risky for sheep drives.

Hancock Post G A R of Sherwood Ohio will hold a two day encampment September 9 and 10 1886 with multiple posts invited from Defiance Hicksville Cecil and others. The event includes tenting cooking drills and military routines and on the second night an attack on the fort. Music amusements and army rations are promised for all veterans and families.
