Frank Williams of Defiance is working for D Bruner. Mrs H Bridenbaugh visited in Defiance last Wednesday. Mr and Mrs J Leaders entertained friends from Defiance last Sunday. A gasoline and coal oil peddler was seen on our streets last Tuesday. The Brunersburg schools began last Monday with Mr and Mrs W Johnson as teachers. The funeral of Wm Tracy was held from the M E church Tuesday afternoon. S Rank and daughter Emma of Sherwood visited Thursday. Mrs McMahon and daughter Kate, visiting relatives here, have returned to Toledo. Walt Neslie drove to Georgetown to see his girl last Saturday. He believes turning attention from Brunersburg will reveal more beauty. If mobs in our towns reflect the Democrat party, God save the nation.
Maggie Ice to teach at Bethel school with Miss Hollinshead as assistant. Beaver Dam Ditch work continues with many hands, including Lena Lama and Will Stork helping J. B. Wibel. A barn and corn crib burned, with 90 tons hay and 600 bushels of wheat lost. The origin is unknown and insurance covered the buildings.
