Christopher Kuhn father of Peter and C. C. Kuhn and Henry and John Kuhn died Jan 9 1887 at his son in law Fred Kellermeier's home four miles north of Defiance aged 78 years 6 months and 1 day He was born in Rhenisti Bavaria June 8 1808 served six years in the Bavarian military and came to America in 1845 He joined the Evangelical Association about 1847 and remained a loyal member His funeral was held Jan 11 at Salem church with Rev D S Oaker officiating He leaves a daughter Mrs Kellermeier 24 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren and many friends as Defiance County mourns a pioneer and family patriarch.
