At A C Henne store in Ayersville Geo Rohn and A C Henry led rival groups to see who could kill more English Sparrows. Rohn’s side averaged 18 8 14 birds across fourteen men while Henry’s side averaged 20 8 13 across thirteen men. Henry did not kill but was counted, lowering his side’s average. The stormy day kept many indoors. A candy promotion followed the sale of Shonfield goods on December 24.
