A late night collision on Highway 225 in front of The Barn at 6800 LaPorte Highway injured Dorothy H. Dunn and sent Refugio Martinez to San Jacinto Methodist Hospital Baytown after his car skidded about 60 feet during a left turn incident.

Sandra Katherine Hoitsma and Roderick Wyatt Seale wed August 23 in Deer Park Texas with Fr. Albert Geoffrey and Dr. Manfred Meitzen officiating. The couple, Lamar Tech alumni, plan to reside in Baton Rouge Louisiana after a Houston Galveston Corpus Christi wedding trip.
Two Deer Park residents launch a garage sale to fund toys and gifts for a state school for mentally retarded children in Richmond Texas. Proceeds from the sale at 1110 Boston go to the students with donations welcomed by Mary Gray and Ann Sims. Tentative date is early October.
