Union Carbide Deer Park plant plans major expansion
The 15 year old Union Carbide Deer Park plant with 4000 ton daily capacity may begin a multimillion dollar expansion early next year to raise output by about 50 percent and almost double storage. The project targets stream by 1978 and follows a 2 million dollar annual payroll. Deer Park hosts an industrial park and zoning rules drive subdivision growth with Park Meadows near Center Street.
