Clinton W. Gilbert aged 51, longtime Washington correspondent for The Philadelphia Public Ledger and The New York Evening Post, died in Washington after a two day illness from pneumonia. He authored Mirrors of Washington and other works that shaped behind the scenes political writing in the capital. He had been in Washington since 1918.
