Grady Reynolds announced Alabama Republicans will meet in Birmingham on August 21 to nominate federal and state candidates to oppose Democratic nominees. Plans To Set Docket For June Circuit Court Term

Judge James E. Horton prepared the docket for the June term of Circuit Court to begin on the first Monday of the month. Civil cases will fill the first two weeks, followed by criminal cases in the third week. Capital cases are slated for the fourth week.

Phillip H. Krebs of Louisville, Kentucky, fell about 125 feet from the Asheville hotel roof and died after his skull was crushed on a concrete alley behind the building. Krebs had arrived in Asheville a month ago with his wife.

Trains Collide In Florida Wreck Kills One Injures Dozen

A Florida East Coast freight train rear collided with a passenger train at Bunnell killing Mrs. W. C. McRoberts of Palatka and injuring about a dozen people, two seriously. The crash derailed several cars and destroyed the rear coach. most injured were taken to a St. Augustine hospital.
