Alabama Beverage Control Board members P. H. Sandlin and Carlos Nelson destroyed two moonshine stills six miles east of Falkville and one mile northeast of Cold Spring. Crowded Schools Gain Two Room Additions
The County Board of Education awarded a two room addition contract for Cotaco School to Homer Hutchinson Jr and a similar addition for Priceville School to Ray Childs. Lester Wooten the county superintendent announced the plan on Saturday. Construction will start soon and the extra classrooms will serve about 80 more pupils per school next fall. The effort aims to reduce overcrowding though one stage area at Priceville may still be used as a classroom.
