Decatur Chamber Drives Growth with 110 New Members
More than 100 people, contributing 5540 dollars, formed the Decatur Chamber of Commerce during a three week membership drive ending July 4. Drive chairman John Cook reports 110 new members added, 78 chairmen cover areas including religion via Rev. James Adkins. The group aims to attract new residents and industry, support existing businesses, and promote community projects such as the Bloodmobile drive, PTA Drug Abuse program, Spirit of America Festival, and Morgan Beautiful cleanup while planning future outreach and city-building efforts.
