Chatter Box Notes Local Tone And New Summer Hopes
A column reviews small town happenings from Florida trips to summer plans. It mentions the Country Club dining room opening in July, life guards and children at beaches, a log fire scene at Monteagle, and the return of blankets from storage. The piece jokes about ballpoint versus scratchy pens, a Paducah author Emily Neville Richeson staging a school play, and local manners sayings. It also notes younger home buyers, a witty chaos definition, a new odorless paint, mint chewing gum for motion sickness, and a cigarette case novelty.
