Norris Town Sold at Auction to Philadelphia Group
Norris Tennessee where a dam town built by the Tennessee Valley Authority in 1933 34 was sold at public auction for 107 500. Henry David Epstein of Philadelphia representing a group of Philadelphia businessmen won the bid. The sale covered 1 284 acres 342 dwelling units a two story schoolhouse fire station and other structures.

Two Cars Tangle On Second Avenue
