Vogel Lands TVA Decision For Method Of Development Of Tennessee River System
Brig. Gen. Herbert D. Vogel told the American Society of Civil Engineers the TVA earned high credit for choosing a high dam plan over a 32-dam low-lift river navigation scheme. He noted the 1930 congressionally presented options and described TVA’s shift from a dammed main stream with reservoirs to a multi purpose development approach.
