Iron City February 13 James Beard Ku Klux Klan grand titan today denied participation in four cross burnings Saturday night about one and one half miles from Iron City. He called the crosses amateurish and said none were near homes. A Bainbridge radio manager said the crosses resembled the Klan symbol and were found on the Faceville At tapulgus and Thomasville highways. Each cross stood about four feet high and was wrapped in burlap soaked in oil.
