A young man found dead with a gunshot wound in a Watnanane hotel room could not be identified today. Funeral home officials said the body would remain unclaimed for about a week while investigators seek a relative. Fingerprints were sent to Birmingham detectives as authorities search for clues. The hotel register showed the name J Ashley with a Birmingham, Alabama address. The body was found shortly after registration by telephone operators.
