Archaeologists uncover Herod era pavement near Wailing Wall
A Hebrew University team led by Prof. Benjamin Mazar finds a Herodian pavement beneath the Western Wall amid debris from Titus era destruction. Coins, pottery, and lamps from the first century AD bolster the discovery, part of a plaza leading to the temple complex on Mt. Moriah.
