Big Globemaster Makes Practice Run to Germany
A U S Air Force C-74 Globemaster landed in Frankfurt with spare parts and supplies for planes on the Berlin airlift. The 174 foot wingspan craft carried 25 tons capacity, will not join the relief effort, and is returning to the United States after a training flight commanded by Capt. Brady Cole of Cleveland.

Bernice Brown, 1103 Chestnut Street, jailed Saturday on assault with a knife over a mill village stabbing of Charlie Bailey, 1102 Bowles Street. Negro Sought For Stabbing On Vine Street Incident
Police searched Saturday for John Crawford about 60 after a stabbing on Vine Street. Victim Lewis Bell about 40 was not hospitalized. Crawford allegedly stabbed Bell in the jaw with a pocket knife. Motive unknown. Crawford fled as officers arrived, according to Assistant Police Chief Weatherly.
