The August parity price for 7-8ths inch middling cotton is 31.12 cents, with loan rates set at 28.79 cents per pound for 7-8ths inch and 30.74 cents for 15-16ths inch. Loans use warehouse receipts from approved warehouses, carry 3 percent interest, mature July 31 1949, callable on demand, and run until May 1 1949.
