Arnall Eyes Run Against Talmadge Next Georgia Governor Race
Former Georgia governor Ellis Arnall said he would be very happy to challenge Herman Talmadge for governor next year. Arnall, now head of the Society of Independent Motion Picture Producers, hinted at a comeback amid a resurgent Georgia political battle and accused Talmadge of courting the Ku Klux Klan for votes. He stressed a genuine people’s desire to see change and recalled his 1942 victory over Gene Talmadge, while noting ongoing questions about term limits and political maneuvering in the state.
