Death of George L Grimes Pioneer Indiana Native
A message reports the death of George L Grimes in Chicago on his 95th birthday. Born March 17 1826 in North Carolina, he moved to Indiana in 1838 and helped found a local school teacher tradition with his brother Henry. Survived by eleven children fifteen grandchildren five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild he was a charter member of Alamo Masonic lodge and a Swift's Methodist church member. He married three times and worked as a carpenter before illness. Mr Campbell departed for Chicago to attend the funeral.
