Post Survey Shows Dalton Holds Lead in Virginia Race
Washington Post reports Republican John Dalton leading Democrat Henry Howell in a second telephone poll last Tuesday by 48 to 43 with 9 percent undecided. A prior poll showed Dalton 44 to 43 with 17 percent undecided. The paper notes a 1,000-person poll has about a four percent error rate and campaigns could still swing the outcome. In other races Charles Robb led Joe Canada 52 to 32 with 6 percent undecided, while Marshall Coleman narrowed the gap to Edward Lane 42 to 34 in the attorney general contest.

State Chairman Endorses Bonds on Virginia Ballot
