Valley Memorial and St. Rose weighing similar moves. Washington Hospital calls increases premature. The final plan awaits board approval 40 days before unit openings.

A low interest loan program at 3.75 percent will aid home improvements up to 15000 dollars, prioritized for severe housing problems as planned park projects face cost and duplication questions.
Cherie Darvell a 23 year old from Redding reappeared outside Bluff Creek Resort after being reported abducted by a hairy creature near Hoopa. She was taken to Humboldt Medical Center for examination with minor scratches and a missing shoe. Sheriff Gene Cox voices doubt on the abduction claim.

More than 60 residents pressed HARD board to commit to Bidwell Elementary School park development. They proposed a plan with a 2600000 cost estimate and pressed for action. The board set aside 39000 in next year’s budget and later increased to 30000 in the district’s 37 million plan.
