Eureka AP A search for 23 year old Sherie Darvell was launched in the mountains north of Eureka after hikers said a large animal abducted her. About 150 officers and volunteers, including Humboldt County sheriff's office and the U S Forest Service, combed the ed forest near the campsite where footprints larger than size 12 were found. Darvell and her four companions, from Modoc County, were two men and two women on a trek seeking Big Foot two miles north of California 96 between Weitchpec and Orleans.
