Water plans and funding advance for Feather River and San Luis site
Assemblyman Wallace Henderson of Fresno backs a siting on the San Luis site and argues federal action may outpace the state on reservoir construction to protect the San Joaquin Valley. The Ways and Means committee approves 440000 for investigations of coastal routes and export to Los Angeles and San Diego, plus 655000 to implement upper Feather River basin development. The proposals await votes by the Assembly, the Senate finance committee, and the full Senate.
