Road financing bid okayed on Wicks Boulevard link
SAN LEANDRO An ordinance speeds funding a 400000 to 500000 project to connect Wicks Boulevard ends was passed by the city council. The plan envisions a four lane street from Merced Street to Lewelling Boulevard with a 1500 foot gap to be filled by a bridge fee from developers. Bridges over flow channels are costly and the council has built a 557,990 balance from per acre contributions. The council also approved property exchanges with Wells Fargo Bank to redevelop a block on Callan and Estudillo avenues and East 14th Street and granted Merchant's Sidewalk Days in mid July.
