Narrow escape as family faces gas from heater
Hillcrest Knolls family narrowly escaped death from gas fumes yesterday at the Albert Horn home on Placer Drive. Arlene Horn, 18, received emergency treatment at Fairmont Hospital after being dazed by the fumes. Mrs Horn woke at 9 40 am to find the house filled with gas. she revived her sister-in-law at the hospital with oxygen. Three other Horn children were groggy but unharmed. The heater, recently installed, was leaking from poorly packed joints.
