Three San Lorenzo youths Anthony Virgil Donald Meds and Kenneth Lorber, all 14 to 15, set out by bay in a brush raft using sticks for paddles. They drifted out, were saved when found by deputies and Coast Guard, and returned to shore with one younger boy Rodney Nes nan, as missing craft sank. A fire caused by ashes discarded in a cardboard carton started on a rear porch floor and burned up to the attic of Clarence Moore’s two family dwelling at 28005 Nile road.reported at 12:50 am Sunday. Fire crews from Alta Vista aided by the county patrol from Fairview and Valle Vista extinguished the blaze. The property is owned by Momer Adams, 58.

150th Avenue Signal Now in Operation

Widow of Centerville bartender files murder complaint
Mary Davilla, widow of Morvis Davilla, signed a complaint in Centerville this morning charging 81 year old Robert M. Osborne with the murder of her husband. Osborne, captured Friday afternoon, allegedly confessed after extended questioning. He admitted going from Richmond with a 48 caliber revolver to the Bear Cat Cafe, shooting Davilla during a robbery attempt then taking keys and fleeing. The weapon was found later in a Napa service station rest room. Osborne was held for murder as investigators pursued the case.
