Niles Hoax or Was Man Shot in Suburban Incident
Three Niles residents reported last night a possible shooting of a young man named Ade M L Jones, 40, and Amy Van Luevin, 65, at 624 Second Street. They told deputies they heard a gunshot and voices saying not to take him away, with a car seen fleeing and a later claim the man cried for help before dying, descriptions of suspects limited by darkness. Rosemary B. Strohg, 33, of 513 Second Street, said she heard two shots in quick succession and that at least three voices were heard, possibly from high school or college students, but no concrete evidence was obtained.
